Career

I was born in Horn (Austria) on April 24, 1979. After my A-levels I moved to Vienna and graduated in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics. I specialized in investment banking and transport economy.

Tarifa, Spain in October 2019

I started my career in treasury domestic sales for the Raiffeisenlandesbank  Niederösterreich-Wien and then ERSTE Group Bank AG in Vienna.

After several years in treasury sales, I became a corporate customer sales manager for Raiffeisen Bank International AG where I structured interest rate and currency products for international corporate clients.

In 2013, after ten years in banking, I decided to start my own business. I launched FoodNotify, a cloud-based, digital ERP (Enterprise Ressource Planning) and ordering solution for businesses that sell food. The idea was inspired by a conversation with an Austrian restaurant owner who explained the challenges the 2011 EU food labelling regulation was going to cause for food connaisseurs all across Europe.

FoodNotify solved these challenges by offering a digital solution that automates food labelling. My team and I then expanded this new tool into a full ERP and ordering system. Today FoodNotify is one of the leading suppliers of ERP systems for the gastronomy industry in Europe.

Kitepreneur

Three years ago I started kitesurfing after coming across the Flysurfer “We are Trippin” video on Facebook. I’ll let you check it out for yourself: Video
I was so fascinated by the elegance, speed and freedom of kitesurfing that I took a course with the ultimate goal of branching out into Hydrofoil.

What’s special about kitesurfing is that it forces me to give 100% of my attention to what I’m doing or my immediate next step. For a person who is stressed all the time, this is liberating!

Tarifa, Spain in October 2019. The Flysurfer Soul 18m2 was the first kite I bought. This is also because I learned to kite with this kite in Egypt 2018.

For the last few years, I have invested a lot of time in gaining experience through LakeUnited in Podersdorf. I went to several of their camps in Egypt, took my camper van to their camp in Sardinia, and last year to Tarifa in October. I also have completed the kitesurfing instructor training.

I just came back from a trip to southern Italy with my camper van where I watched the Italian national team practicing on the Hang Loose Beach in Calabria.

I am always quick to share my passion for this sport with other people, so I thought sharing my experience with my network, while promoting Kitesurfing and Hydrofoiling, was the next logical step. And that’s how Kitepreneur was born.
